Job Description

We’re looking for a dedicated person, who loves programming and complex and fun challenges! If you like that, drop us a line!

Back-end software developer position assumes a flexible role in a mostly full-stack team, while focused on developing and enhancing a number of middleware applications, backend EDI integrations and various backend automation software.

Common tasks will include things like:

  • Maintaining and improving business intelligence and tracking systems of the application platform;

  • Development of visual and headless tools for the back-end, forms, lists, interactive report pages;

  • Programming and improving tools for overall app performance monitoring

  • Connecting to payment gateway APIs of various third parties.

  • Establishing electronic data exchange of product information between our systems and the systems of our suppliers (CSV, XLS, EDIFact or FTP protocols with encryption).

Regular routine will be mostly about automation of e-commerce business processes (building services, backend evolution) while a fair share of the job will take you into the world of predictions and data visualization and mobile API development.

Our workflow is agile, with Trello serving as the backbone of the organisation process.

We'll teach you machine learning and cool innovative e-commerce tricks!

Technical Skills Required:

  • Ruby, Javascript, Rails framework, AngularJS.

  • Our app is based on Spree Commerce framework fork. Practical previous experience with this framework will yield extra points.

  • Experience with any type of machine-learning techniques will yield extra points.

  • Reports and data mining, building complex queries in PostgreSQL.

  • RESTful APIs and modern authentication patterns.

  • Programmatically working with office file formats.

  • AngularJS proficiency optional, but will yield extra points.

  • User-level command line and visual Git.

  • User-level skill with bash shell in Linux required.

  • Practical machine learning and predictions experience will yield a large amount of extra points!

  • Android Java platform and/or Apple Swift knowledge are totally not required, but will yield extra points, as we have a small code-base using these, which requires maintenance and improvements.

Language Skills Required:

  • Fluent English is not required but will yield extra points.

Standard full-time week working hours (flexible come and go), remote working out of the office days are promoted and available regularly for developers.
