Alea
is growing fast, that’s why we are looking for a new System
Administrator, who will be responsible of the overall systems stability,
reporting to the IT Operation lead, you will be managing our servers
ensuring to maintain the system standard.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Install and rebuild existing servers, according with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Install and configure, develop, and maintain system standards.
- Perform
daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system
data are successfully backup up to the appropriate media.
- Perform
and develop the daily monitoring system, verifying the integrity and
availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key
processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying
completion of cheduled jobs such as backups.
- You will work in a
cloud-based environment, being responsible for the overall stability of
all our systems, and proactively take action on any problem or risk you
may detect.
- You will ensure the stability and daily reliability of our networks.
Requirements
- You are an experienced System Administrator with a strong LINUX CentOS background;
- You have a strong experience on cloud based environments (Rackspace, Google Cloud Engine).
- You have experience in automated provisioning with Ansible, development virtual environments (Virtualbox).
- You
are a self-motivated person, you are extremely pro-active and you are
able to handle important projects alone, always ensuring an outstanding
service to all your clients.
- You have a proven track record working with MySQL replication system;
- You are comfortable working with Agile methodologies like Kanban .
- You are a team player, you naturally develop positive relationships among and between teams.
- You are able to code at least with one of these languages: Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl.
- You
are extremely passionate about your job and you are a problem solver. A
rotating on-Call availability is part of your duties.
- You have knowledge on LAMP and/or Redis administration.
- You are proficient in English. Spanish or French are a strong plus.
