ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM:

 

The Knot Worldwide is hiring a Senior Engineer in Test to join a highly motivated team.  The right engineer will enjoy fast paced collaboration with product, design, and user experience teams in an Agile environment to ensure high quality web and mobile features for our couples and vendors.  

 

This role will focus on applications and products in the Ecommerce Zone, iterating on innovative features that enable couples and guests to seamlessly make a purchase or build out a registry across our family of brands.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that features are high-quality by building test strategies, writing and executing test plans, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
  • Leverage skills and experience to develop backend automated tests to ensure product quality.
  • Manually test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.
  • Interface with teams in coordinating API automation tests and manual regression testing for every production release.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process.
  • Promote best practices surrounding TDD, continuous integration, code standards, etc.
  • Support multiple squad initiatives by following agile practices

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • Expert knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Proven hands on experience writing automated tests for backend services.
  • Solid experience writing automated tests for backend services and APIs using frameworks such as Playwright, Supertest, Mocha, Tap or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Clear and concise communication with the team around QA deliverables.
  • Experience with modern UI test frameworks like Playwright.
  • Experience designing and developing load tests to measure application performance.
  • Experience using Node.js or similar technology.
  • Experience leading teams and projects in an Agile, TDD environment.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce order management and order processing systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS/Kubernetes/Docker concepts and technology is a plus.

WORK MODEL:
This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based near one of our office hubs. Starting September 15, 2025, you’ll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
