About this role:
Software Architect position responsible for design, implementation, and support of complex software systems to help fulfill our Research & Consulting Delivery strategy. The role is responsible for helping the team to create modular and performance centric architectures to create seamless integrations with multiple applications based on business processes.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to deliver innovative technology solutions.
Responsible for leading projects focused on performance, modular, extensible architectures.
Demonstrate a deep knowledge of multiple design frameworks and best practices across Java, .Net, Python, AWS and Azure technologies.
Maintain performance, security, and availability of production systems to achieve 99.99% uptime.
Lead the review and analysis of business requirements to create technical specifications
Drive architecture and technical design discussions.
Direct multiple technology-based projects and staff in support of IT.
Responsible for the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology resources necessary for successful completion of several large-scale projects.
Direct technical activities to Estimate, Plan, Design, Build, Test and Migrate solutions into production
Direct analysis on and shape business requirements to determine technical design.
Manage formal and informal project communication amongst team and with other project participants using methods appropriate to audience and type of communication
Mentor, coach and grow engineering talent.
Learn new technologies & frameworks and utilize them to develop technical solutions
What you’ll need:
Must Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the field of software architecture. 10+ years’ experience in web based application/software design and development.
Significant experience in design patterns/application frameworks across multiple programming languages.
Proficient in designing and developing scalable, secure, resilient, modular, & highly available software systems using Java, .Net, Python, AWS and Azure technologies.
Experience in building scalable data models and designing complex relational, NoSQL/Graph databases.
In-depth knowledge of integration and web services technologies is required.
Strong understanding and experience using AWS and Azure services as well as DevOps tools and practices.
Knowledge of enterprise search platforms such as Elasticsearch/OpenSearch
Extensive experience in understanding application performance management and improvement with a focus towards improving the user experience (UX).
Experience leading and coaching a team of software engineers
Knowledge of tracking, monitoring, and logging systems (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog)
Excellent problem-solving skills and aptitude to learn new technologies and methodologies
Nice to have (opportunity to learn
Knowledge of containers like Docker, Kubernetes
Experience with HTML, Javascript, CSS and React framework.
Experience in CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge on checkmarx & whitehat for application security
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, etc.)
Experience with Scrum software development methodology
