Wikifactory is a start-up, headquartered in Hong Kong with
operating offices in Spain and China. We are an international team,
driven by innovation and systems thinking. We're looking for a capable
fullstack developer to play a key role in developing the technical
infrastructure and tools to accelerate product development.
Senior Full Stack Engineer
The Role
Over the next 6 months Wikifactory will be adding capabilities to
enable users of our existing collaborative design system to manufacture
the products they design together. This will involve creating software
to mark-up design files for solid models with PMI data for production,
creating libraries of standard components, and building APIs to
integrate into the workflows of component manufacturers. You’ll be part
of a team working closely with cutting-edge product designers,
incubators, and manufacturers to understand their needs and build tools
which help them accelerate product development.
More specifically, the role entails:
- Writing software to mark-up and transform CAD files for production
- Integrating appropriate software services (CAD to CAM, simulation etc)
- Connecting product repositories to a distributed manufacturing network
- Developing tools to support projects to progress from design to production
- Working closely with our CEO and Head of CAD/CAE development in designing and delivering systems
- Collaborating with the wider development team to improve our existing social platform for collaborative product development
What You Bring
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll have:
- Strong experience in low-level languages such as C, C++, or Golang
- A deep understanding of 3D modelling and visualisation
- Ability to work with higher-level languages such as Python and Javascript (frontend)
- Ability to build scalable and secure systems
- Enthusiasm for building infrastructure for the next industrial revolution
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with CAD/CAE/CAM formats
- Knowledge of graph databases and/or graphql
- Knowledge of electronics formats and workflows

Renumeration
€55k-65k - depending on experience and track record
