our busy marketing team.
Who are we?
AirDNA collects data on the growth and performance of over 10 million
Airbnb and HomeAway/VRBO properties around the world, providing reports
to clients in the hospitality, property and tourism industries,
governments and academic bodies.
We are looking for a motivated, diligent and versatile individual
who wants to solidify their experience in public relations and help to
increase the visibility and presence of AirDNA around the world. The
ideal candidate will be excited about the opportunity of “hacking” the
PR game to push AirDNA and vacation rental insights into the spotlight.
The press assistant will work alongside the Public Relations Director
in-house and remotely alongside the marketing team located in Denver,
Colorado.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Examining and monitoring coverage, tracking PR metrics.
- Press outreach: compiling media lists, contacting and building
relationships with relevant journalists, drafting and pitching
compelling story ideas by email and phone.
- Organizing conference logistics: research, booking travel, ordering supplies, hiring furniture.
- Data analysis: manipulating vacation rental data and putting together reports.
- Suggesting innovative ideas for new press strategy.
- Assistance with office management: ordering supplies, delivering and collecting items, and other administrative tasks.
Desired attributes & skills:
Essential
- Undergraduate university degree in any subject.
- Articulate native or near-native English speaker.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication: Ability to write
grammatically flawless, precise and engaging emails and content.
1+ year of PR or communications experience, preferably in a tech start-up, or in the hospitality, travel or tourism sectors.
- Confident, entrepreneurial spirit. As a start-up, the goalposts
are often changing. We need a flexible mind that is able to bring a
fresh, energetic approach to surmounting challenges and getting tasks
completed.
- Detail-oriented, lateral thinker. We need someone that is able to
analyze and pull together diverse sources of information, industry
research, and AirDNA metrics to put together data-driven, engaging
material.
- Attention to detail: An organized, autonomous and conscientious
individual, who takes care over their work even when tasks are
repetitive.
- Working knowledge of data interpretation and Excel, such as how to
write basic formulas, filter and sort data, and create graphs.
- Have a personal laptop and mobile phone.
Preferable
- Upper intermediate (or higher) in Spanish and/or Catalan.
- Design capabilities to create infographics, charts, flyers and other marketing assets.
