Learnerbly is a team of entrepreneurs and innovators on a mission to
redefine learning and development in the workplace. We aim to give every
person the opportunity to be their best selves at work. We’re just
getting started but so far we’ve already help businesses like ustwo,
carwow, GoCardless and IDEO to find the best learning opportunities to
accelerate the growth of their people.
Learnerbly is beginning a new phase of product development and is
looking to hire a passionate developer with experience in working on the
full web stack (backend/frontend). This knowledge may come as
professional experience or personal research but you will be expected to
speak knowledgeably about the state of the art with respect to web
application development and building web-based product experiences. We
don't require any particular langue or framework skills but an ideal
candidate has at least some experience or in JavaScript and parts of our
stack.
We have a highly collaborative working environment, passion for
building a great product is more important to us than your professional
or educational experience. Show us your personal projects, tell us what
you like and what you don’t like, about interesting things you have
read, problems you've solved, projects you have been involved with,
people you have met and what you have learned.
Our software architecture is 100% Javascript based, and utilises
cutting-edge frameworks and services such as GraphQL running on AWS
Lambda, using AWS DynamoDB, S3, AWS hosted ElasticSearch, and
CloudFront.
On the client side we use React and Apollo to build web based components and to bind them to our GraphQL API.
We prefer developers who have an interest in full-stack development
and are prepared to get involved in all layers of the stack, so this is a
great opportunity for anybody looking to broaden their Javascript
experience and exposure, as well as developing a deeper understanding of
building and architecting for the cloud.
Primarily based in our office in East London with the opportunity to
work from home on an occasional basis (note: not full-time
telecommuting, we believe the best innovation happens around a
whiteboard).
In addition to salary, we offer a generous learning and development
budget to spend on development materials (books, courses and
conferences).
