position of Head of Cyber Security. Berlin based or remote, full time or

The Role
The Head of Cyber Security will take responsibility for the Security
Strategy of the company, implementing and managing security governance
across the wider business. They will provide a hand-on approach,
carrying risk assessment, solution design and consultancy, while
supporting the data protection and compliance teams.
The successful candidate will ensure that security threats are
limited across the business and enforce procedures, best practice and
compliance. We are looking for someone with significant experience
creating and developing security roadmaps within IT services
organisations; ideally experience with cryptocurrencies.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain crucial IT security governance
- Risk assessment, solution design and consultancy across whole business
- Manage and continuously review vulnerability risks
- Limit business critical threats by introducing and applying effective best practice
- Identify and chose the most appropriate tools and technologies for security and compliance
- Close collaboration with various departments to ensure business objectives are met
- Provide data protection and compliance teams with adequate security input
- Design and thrive to improve security roadmaps to meet the companies IT needs
- Responsible for global implementation of Information security policies and enforcement of internal compliance
- Coordinate and execute security awareness workshops and events for internal teams
- Build and manage professional working relationships with external vendors e.g KYC and blockchain wallet services
Requirements
- Relevant accreditations preferred
- Significant IT security work experience, including control process and policy management
- Previous PCI compliance experience with knowledge of Cyber Essential and ITIL
- Excellent knowledge of GDPR, DPA, ISO 27001 & 9001 implementation
- Strong decision making and influencing skills
- Genuine desire to continuously develop and improve your skill set
- Innovative and creative nature
- Proven ability to work effectively in uncertain environments
- Proven track record of risk analysis of cyber security issues
Desirable
- Experience working with legal teams
- Knowledge of product development processes and agile methodologies
