VenueScanner is the UK’s fastest growing tech marketplace for meeting & event spaces.
Our mission is to create the first scalable self-service venue
discovery & booking platform and become Event Organisers’ #1
destination.
We've launched in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Edinburgh and are looking to expand UK wide this year.
We're highly focussed on customer experience, automation and have a
data-led approach. We have exciting plans for product development and
are looking for a number of superb developers to lead us through the
next phase.
We're building a true marketplace of under-utilised space. Just like
Airbnb & Booking.com but for hourly or daily hire... with >17,000
spaces currently live across the UK ranging from school halls,
universities, iconic buildings, and hotels.
If you fancy a new challenge, early stage, venture backed start-up with a fun and energetic team, read on!
We're looking for a senior full stack developer who can help take our
business to the next level. We’re hiring in London, where we’re located
alongside a whole host of other well funded start-ups. You'll have 3-6
years' experience working in a commercial environment (one with KPIs and
growth on the agenda!) have a passion for delivering only the best
products to market.
We work truly agile and you'll spend most of your time building the
next features for our users (of which there are many and exciting!):
> Work with the commercial and customer teams to define and
prioritise opportunities for optimisation on key product areas: venue
onboarding, venue search results, venue presentation, enquiry process,
messaging hub, ratings & reviews, rewards
> Deliver features of the highest quality to create new customer
journeys and enhance existing ones using a modern tech stack, anchored
in Node JS
> Build in AI, personalisation & automation to make the
business truly self-service for our organisers and hosts > Regular
session replay to source issues and opportunities
> Select solutions for each product - build in house v borrow v buy
REQUIREMENTS
Our tech stack is anchored in Javascript, with Node JS driving the
core business logic. On top of this, we have an Angular / Mongo DB stack
and a Ruby on Rails / PostgreSQL stack. Plus a little React now too.
So, you’ll probably have experience of working in a number of frameworks
to adapt to this environment. You don’t need to be an expert in all of
these, but core experience in one of these areas is critical.
Be great if you have experience of working in a B2B or B2C
environment with a dynamic, transactional website and you have an
appreciation for commercialising the product. You’ve grown the top line
revenue or conversion rate, rather than focused on time-saving or
cost-saving tools for internal users.
You’ll need to be highly self-sufficient and passionate about working
in an early stage start-up company, along with the excitement, reward
and risk that comes with it.
Please only apply only if you're living in London
