About Twyla----
Twyla is developing the next generation of enterprise conversational
technologies. At Twyla, we are developing our underlying architecture
using hybrid machine learning and rule-based chatbot technologies, and
building a conversation authoring experience to make it easy to create
meaningful dialogs. Our software provides seamless, immediate, and
relevant customer support while lowering the number of support tickets
and the cost of running a support team.
Our working style is relaxed, informal, and most importantly, agile.
We believe in a sweet spot of relaxed development in the context of
needing to ship code.
The Role----
As a full-stack developer, you’ll have the opportunity to dive into
every layer of our tech stack, doing everything from writing a Python
service to making changes on our React frontend. You will be joining the
current front and backend teams to ensure the layers of our stack are
well-designed, maintainable, and reliable. With the right balance of
breadth and depth of knowledge--and necessary support from our team--you
will be entrusted with the autonomy and resources needed to build
multilayer solutions.
About You----
Besides having an open mind, intellectual curiosity, and passion to
explore ideas, here are some of the things we are looking for:
•Strong client and server-side language experience
•Communication and listening skills in business, technical, and organisational domains
•Reliable judgement of technical tradeoffs, with a bias towards simple and pragmatic solutions
•Understanding and experience of collaborative development within a service-oriented environment
•Experience developing solutions across different services and systems, including backend and frontend
•Desire to both mentor and coach less experienced developers and learn new technologies and concepts from coworkers
A well-functioning team is important to us, and we strongly believe
that diversity is one of the most important pieces to this. There is
great opportunity in the work that we do, and we welcome anyone willing
to challenge themselves and contribute. We don’t buy the whole “rockstar
developer” and we believe that last-minute, bug-fixing heroics are a
process issue and not something to be celebrated. If this sounds like
the kind of environment you’d thrive in, we’d love to talk
