You love hacking amazing prototypes and demos as much as explaining how to build applications with Stream.
We're searching for someone with a few years of experience in the
area of content marketing for technical products. You will join Stream
as the first team member focused full time on growth.
Responsibilities:
* Write production-quality code and contribute to Stream's open source helper libraries and other projects.
* Create technical content for publication on our blog and other
channels to show developers how to use Stream's API in various
use-cases.
* Deliver talks and presentations to share expertise at user groups, meetups and conferences.
* Provide support to our developers wherever they are, on SO, Github, Quora, forums, social media etc.
* Function as the voice of the customer and provide internal feedback on how Stream can better serve our customers
Requirements:
* Be creative, there is no standard recipe for growth. Someone who
writes scrapers and chrome extensions in their spare time would probably
be a good candidate.
* A few years of experience blogging and writing technical articles
with an existing follower base, as well as experience giving talks.
* Experience with either Ruby, PHP, GO, Java or Scala
* Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Strong and diverse engineering skills - if you were writing code full time, you'd be a great performer.
* Social and hustling skills - a lot of great connections and
opportunities are discovered simply by getting out and talking to
people.
* Public speaking experience or aptitude is essential
* Willingness to travel to anywhere our developer communities live, while staying productive and professional on the road.
* Ability to work irregular hours and some weekends to support hackathons, conferences, user groups, and other developer events.
