Fivve has been awarded several innovation prizes and is currently
located at the leading start-up incubator VillageByCA Paris. We are
looking for an ambitious, intuitive and quick-witted Data-Scientist
intern to join our fast growing, mobility company based in central
Paris. You will be integrated to the Co-Founders team, working directly
with the Chief Product Officer and the CEO, in order to co-develop our
mobile and web-based corporate mobility platform. This role will be a
great step into the fast moving and highly innovative automotive
industry within a high growth international startup, and potentially
leading to the opportunity for a permanent contract at the end of the
internship.
Responsibilities:
- Use your mathematical, statistical and programmatic knowledge to
define the strategy & roadmap for a machine learning framework
- Set up the data infrastructure for e-mobility platform and advertising solution
- Leverage your experience in predictive modeling, statistics,
machine learning, data mining and other data analysis techniques to
collect, explore and extract insights from structured and unstructured
data
- Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete
project lifecycle including data extraction/preparation, design and
implementation of scalable machine learning analysis and solutions, and
documentation of results
- Propose and experiment innovative approaches
- Keep the company up-to-date with machine learning and data science research
Requirements:
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent from leading engineering school
- Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning and/or deep learning, optimization, massive data processing
- Python programming skills with two (2) years or more experience
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best
practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding
standards, code reviews, source control management, building processes,
testing, and iterations
- Collaborative worker, good team spirit, ability to take the initiative, willing to challenge and be challenged
- A self-starter with enthusiasm for learning new development tools, techniques, and practices
- Proficient in English
- Inspired by movements for Urban Mobility / Smart Cities / FinTech
Nice to have:
- Experience in some subset of the following: Java, Javascript and modern front end frameworks, Django/Python
- Ph.D. in operations research, applied statistics, data mining, machine learning, physics or a related quantitative discipline
- Deep understanding of statistical and predictive modeling
concepts, machine-learning approaches, clustering and classification
techniques, recommender systems, reinforcement learning and optimization
algorithms
- Good knowledge of computer vision
- Experience with visualization of large datasets
