Xihelm is a venture capital backed, applied deep computer vision
startup working in smart cities and security, and is an Entrepreneur
First graduate. Our co-founders worked at Google and studied at IIT and
Stanford. We have real enterprise and government customers, and are
working on some cool recognition tasks that could save billions, and
hopefully even save lives.
As employee #4, this is an exceptional chance to join at the start and help define our culture.
We need a CTO/VP of AI engineering to:
- Manage the existing tech team (researchers, UX, engineers)
- Work directly with the CEO on Product planning and development
- Actively participate in technical strategy and decision-making (with CEO, customers, and stakeholders)
We’re looking for impressive people. Think you can design a
self-improving Geo AI in the time most people eat their lunch? Come talk
to us.
Responsibilities
- We want an exceptionally well-organized, enthusiastic, team leader.
- Report directly to the CEO on a day-to-day basis
- Take full ownership of technical planning and delivery
- Create clear, specific timelines for new features
- Accurate progress tracking and high-quality project planning
- Manage a diverse team of top engineers using agile-like methodologies
- Be a motivational, positive, energetic team-leader
Skills / qualifications
We make heavy use of advanced Computer Vision and Machine Learning
technologies, so that any experience with them is a major advantage.
Similarly, our work is driven by statistics and research, so project
experience in those areas would help enormously.
- Experience in an agile setting, ideally also in a research environment
- Significant commercial project management experience
- Worked with startups and scale-ups
- Experience with AI, Computer Vision, Geo and/or Machine Learning-based products
- Hands on capable with programming, SQL and Linux
- Customer-facing skills on defining technical requirements
Please note
At the moment we aren’t able to sponsor visas or support remote
work, unfortunately. You’ll need to be authorised to work in the UK, and
be willing to work from our funky office in London.
Sorry, no agencies or consultants, thanks. Otherwise, please do reach out to James Kent on 07703231111 or jameskent@xihelm.com.
