ABOUT THE SENIOR ENGINEERING ROLE AND THE BASH TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a talented and driven Senior Engineer to join our squad at The Bash.
The Bash, part of The Knot Worldwide family, is an online event marketplace for party hosts and event planners to find inspiration and book the best vendors and entertainers for all types of celebrations. Since 1997, more than half a million events have been brought to life on The Bash and almost 30,000 event vendors, ranging from musicians and comedians to impersonators and magicians, use The Bash to earn more doing what they love.

As a Senior Software Software Engineer, you’ll work to maintain, measure, and evolve features across the Vendor and Planner experience to ensure that we’re meeting our business goals and providing an excellent experience for our users.

ABOUT THE SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ROLE AND THE BASH TEAM:

The Knot Worldwide is seeking a talented and driven Sr. Software Engineer to join an engineering squad on The Bash. The Bash, part of The Knot Worldwide family, is an online event marketplace for party hosts and event planners to find inspiration and book the best vendors and entertainers for all types of celebrations. Since 1997, more than half a million events have been brought to life on The Bash and almost 30,000 event vendors, ranging from musicians and comedians to impersonators and magicians, use The Bash to earn more doing what they love.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work directly with engineers, designers, product managers, and other product teams to meet shared goals.  
• Create scalable, highly available software architectures.
• Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap and Agile planning.
• Promote best practices around software design, testing, and architecture.
• Be positive, optimistic, and engaging in a fast-paced environment.

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEERS HAVE:

• 4+ years of experience working in a full-stack role, preferably at a product company.
• 4+ years working with Node.js.
• 4+ years working with React.js.
• TypeScript Experience
• Fluent enough in English to be comfortable communicating and coordinating with teams in multiple geographic locations
• Proponent of TDD or other testing methodologies.
• Enjoy working closely with other team members.
• Knowledge of AWS/Cloud architecture components.
• Understand (and are motivated by) explicit KPIs and goals.

NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN:

• GraphQL
• NestJS
• Serverless Framework or other relevant IaC
• CI/CD Using Jenkins or other relevant CI/CD
• Working in an Agile environment
