An extremely focused and passionate individual. We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
As
a QA Manager you will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing
activities, defining the QA Strategy and coordinating the QA Team. You
will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately
identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in our tracking system
(Jira).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Develops
test cases and plans and leads risk management. Works with engineers to
identify higher risk and more important aspects of products, sets
priorities and determines scope and limitations of test.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Executes
on manual and automated test cases. Provides full coverage based on
project goals. Test areas include functional, integration, system and/or
regression.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bug
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Release management, including production deploys.
- Tracks problems/bugs and fixes. Creates reports providing metrics on overall test progress and coverage.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing and deployment tools (selenium, mocha, jenkins..)
- Up-to-date technical knowledge (web based)
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, utilities and scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good communication skills and a good team player
- Candidate must be willing to teach and to learn.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor´s degree in Information Technology, Computer science, Software engineering or similar
2+ years of experience in an engineering field, including previous software quality assurance experience.
