developer needed for an expanding cool startup
Our company has during the past couple of years
experienced rapid growth. To accommodate the growing needs of our
company, we are expanding our engineering team. Typically, engineers are
pale and vitamin D deprived which is why we have chosen to open a
tech-office in Barcelona!
About the job
The job consists of a variety of tasks, all carried out
in close collaboration with our CTO. Together you will design and
implement the functionalities needed to push the company forward. A big
part of this is to take the current monolithic architecture and
transform it into a micro service architecture. Doing this successfully
also means implementing standard procedures for moving code into
production. Here we will use continues integration practices. Likewise,
standard operations for quality control and code production in general
needs to be implemented. In short you will continue to provide the
infrastructure that is needed for us to move the company forward. Along
with the above mentioned, you will help build and develop the
department. Together with our CTO, you will hire more engineers in the
coming months and you will be responsible for executing the tasks put
forward by management.
Your profile
You are fluent in English; the common language is
English and so it is important that you can seamlessly express your
thoughts and engage in conversation with our colleagues. You have
professional experience as a developer in a medium sized company. You
are naturally curious and adapt new knowledge quickly. You have an
understanding for the complexities of the backend as well as the
frontend and understand how to separate them. You know the implications
of building for scale. You have ambitions to lead. You are structured in
your approach to problem solving. Most important of all you are
reliable, ambitious, and capable of voicing your opinion as well as
being fun to be around.
