Job Description

Us

A world-wide team of designers and researchers delivering innovative, user-centered business solutions.

  • We practice design thinking and iteratively craft our experiences based on customer research and testing
  • We practice agile methodologies, preceded by research, design and planning phases
  • We move fast but take the time to innovate, brainstorm, and explore
  • We feel the best solutions usually come from highly energetic teams
  • We move forward by bridging experience design with product management and engineering at every step of the process.

 You

We’re looking for a collaborative, experienced designer who can lead, inspire, and work well with cross-functional teams. You should have demonstrable experience creating designs, working with user researchers, and hashing out final results with product managers, engineers, and upper management. It would be a plus if you have experience conducting your own research and validation testing.

You will help contribute to a culture of excellence and comradery, adding your passion and personality to an already hard-working, fun and collaborative office.

The role

You will be a key member of the Optimize Cash and Profits group, the backbone of the Oracle NetSuite business solution (cash management, cash forecasting, accounting, billing, and more).

As a senior member of the Experience Design team, you will work closely with customers and help shape the best possible end-user experience. It’s about collaborating with product teams to understand their learning objectives, and develop appropriate activities to achieve those goals. You will provide end-user expertise to help teams produce elegant, intuitive and highly functional designs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on creative problem solving in a cloud-driven enterprise software system.
  • Work with a multi-disciplined UX team of designers, user researchers and product managers in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment.
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables that communicate design solutions and facilitate discussion.
  • Presentation of design alternatives and effectively communicate rationale and trade-offs.
  • Demonstrate a passion for iteration and eager to receive feedback.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Degree in Product/Industrial Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working in the field of UX/UI design or 2-3 years experience with an advanced HCI/Design degree. Experience with “big data software” a huge plus. We need a self-starter who can take a bit of directional input and then take off.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating experience producing sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, task-flows or relevant design artifacts.
  • A positive and resilient personality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Analytical and strategic attitude. We privilege that rather than pixel-perfect visual skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with geographically distributed teams.
  • Front-end design knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile Development methodology a plus.
