What we´re looking for:
Gartner Digital Markets’ is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our collaborative, Agile team. This position will include hands-on development and a close working relationship with our product owners and development teams to build out products for our clients and website using JavaScript, Python and RESTful APIs built in Ruby on Rails.

Why you’ll want to come to work:

  • Develop high quality, innovative, flexible, and scalable technical solutions for Gartner Digital Market’s suite of critical systems and applications.

  • Perform hands-on development and provide thoughtful code reviews and architectural insights.

  • Design, develop, test and support applications and services using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Node.js), Python and other languages and frameworks.

  • Follow SCRUM Agile Development methodology.

What you´ll bring to the team:

Must have:

  • 5+ years in enterprise software engineering.

  • 4+ years experience working with Ruby on Rails at production level.

  • Knowledge of Kafta.

  • 4+years developing with relational databases (SQL).

  • API development experience.

  • AWS experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of software development methods and best practices.

  • The ability to mentor teammates as necessary.

  • A passion for engineering, learning, and teamwork is a must!

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • Verbal English skills (we work in English!)
     

Nice to have/opportunity to learn (depending on the team):

  • Python experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Logstash is a plus.

  • Exposure to Serverless computing (Lambda) is a plus.

  • Familiar with continuous integration (Jenkins) is a plus.
