ABOUT THE ROLE  
We’re looking for passionate Engineers to further grow the Platform Team which owns the sennder application platform and related processes. We work in an agile environment supporting a growing number of cross-functional engineering pods that build user experiences to disrupt the logistics market. The domain space is complex with lots of greenfield and scalability engineering challenges to solve.
We believe in giving our autonomous teams ownership of a challenging mission and we love engineers that want to drive significant improvements and take ownership of certain parts of our roadmap. IMPORTANCE OF THE ROLE
As a part of the Platform team, you will be the bridge between product engineering and platform engineering. Designing and implementing core services and ensuring smooth delivery, with a keen focus on security and standardisation. This role is crucial to enable developers to function deterministically and deliver the best quality products.
 
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL…
We are scaling up the engineering department, and the platform team is very important for our successful growth. This role involves owning the responsibility of creating, building and ensuring the smooth operation of our core services (supporting domains).
 
We expect that you will be a person to share responsibility for driving such initiatives:
  • Unify and standardise authentication and authorisation processes.
  • Ownership of low-level notification channels (aka WhatsApp, SMS, Email, etc).
  • Ownership and support for Tier 0 core services.
  • Collaborating with Stream-aligned teams.
 
PREFERABLY YOU HAVE…
  • Understanding of security aspects (OpenID, OAuth, Service to Service, Zero Trust)
  • In-depth knowledge of programming with one backend language (Python, TypeScript, Golang, etc)
  • Assertive communication skills for effective collaboration between engineering, product, and operations.
  • Continuous learning and is particularly passionate about technology.
  • Experience in designing and building production-ready microservices.
  • Confident presentation and strong influence skills with adaptability based on the audience.
  • The constant drive for improving processes and thinking in long-term wins.
  • Fluency in English (in both written and verbal communication)
