What's it like to work as a QA engineer at Whitespectre?

  • You will act as both a key member of the project team in ensuring the quality of changes that we release to production and participate in the wider Whitespectre QA capability (across projects).
  • You will support the project team by overseeing the end-to-end flow of work, while actively maintaining fluent internal / external communications.
  • You will help organize and support the daily project management & release processes.
  • You’ll mainly be performing manual app & frontend browser (mobile and desktop) and API testing and supporting our automation testing efforts. Partnering with the Product Managers and Engineers in understanding the product and filling gaps in requirements before they turn into bugs/surprises later in the process.
  • Intelligently triaging issues and knowing how to respond based on their impact/urgency.
  • Generating test or release plans for complex feature launches.
  • Working on supporting or growing automation test suites using technologies like Javascript and Cypress.
  • Working with Product to document features or functionality

The “check the box” Requirements

  • Experience in mobile app testing (4+ years) using real devices and simulators/emulators for both iOS and Android.
  • Experience in web testing on both desktop and mobile browsers (4+ years).
  • Good understanding from a business goals perspective to be able to contribute in all steps through the product construction
  • Knowledge of testing automation (web and/or mobile) is a plus
  • Experience using Agile Methodologies in a remote team
  • Have strong debugging skills (JavaScript, browser, console, database)
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Can work full-time with a significant crossover with the core hours: 11am - 7pm Central European Time
