ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will play a key part in solidifying QA best practices with our web squads based in Spain, where strong communication and open collaboration is key. You will be working as part of an agile delivery team with a focus on continuous improvement where QA will be active and driving participants. This role will have a strong focus on fostering a culture of quality on the team.

The enthusiastic Senior QA Engineer (you!) will assist in establishing QA best practice and drive quality at all times as the team creates features for The Bump and its suite of tools and sub projects. You will bring a strong voice for Quality and a user-focussed mindset as we build new products that meet their needs. You will work closely alongside the rest of the Engineering team and our Product Design leads.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, execute and document test cases based on business & functional requirements to ensure thorough testing of requirements in an agile environment
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in defining and evolving our test strategies, plans and cases
  • Have a user-focussed mind-set and eye for detail with applications under test
  • Represent QA in agile ceremonies such as Backlog reviews and Sprint Retrospectives
  • Support stakeholders during important UAT phases
  • Mentor less experienced QA engineers and support others to provide innovative solutions for team improvement as the QA team grows
  • Foster a culture of quality amongst the project team
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to test plans and processes

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR QA ENGINEER CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • 4+ years of experience working in a QA Role with at least 2 being as a Senior QA or equal project experience
  • Deep experience with Cypress and other testing frameworks, tools and libraries
  • Keen understanding of best practice QA methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with a high value on openness and transparency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments and stakeholders to find solutions, increase productivity, efficiency and foster team success
  • Experience in Agile teams
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior QA engineers before in your career
