About The Bumble BFF Design Team
With Bumble BFF, you’ll be joining a fast growing team focused on delivering an exciting new product offering. We’re aiming to create a safe, kind space for people to find friends through all stages of life. With a significant scope and the opportunity to influence core experience decisions from the ground up, it's a super interesting challenge for any designer.
We’re looking for an experienced product designer with particular skill in thinking strategically, who has worked on complex information architectures, and who understands how to solve problems holistically in their design work, as well as delivering exceptional visual design solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with product and design leadership
Turn conceptual ideas into impactful solutions for millions of users
Work with product and engineering to oversee the user experience from conception to launch (and continuous iterations)
Craft exceptional flows and experiences that are easy to use and follow our design principles
Collaborate with research to understand how our users think and feel and inform design decisions
Partner with content designers to ensure content is relevant, inclusive and high quality throughout the journey.
Give and seek feedback during critique sessions to continually raise the bar for quality in the team
Regularly present your work and evangelise good design standards within the team and the wider company
Constantly challenge yourself and the team on how we work, helping to adopt new practices and tools
Contribute to the design culture at Bumble
Experience We Are Looking For
Demonstrable experience in shipping world-class digital products in cross-functional teams
Experience designing and testing complex information architectures
Experience in product thinking, discovery and strategy
Experience of facilitating a human-focused design approach within the team
Well-trained eye for great visual design execution, but with a main focus on delivering great experiences and solving problems
Strong portfolio of case studies showing your skills
Running concept testing with real users
Successful experience partnering with research, design, product and engineering
Experience supporting and coaching more junior members of the team with practical advice and guidance
Service design experience is desirable but not essential
About You
You’ve got experience working on end-to-end B2C apps from the ground up and lead on discovery, design and delivery
You're a strategic thinker, and an expert in translating user behaviour into great user experience and design
You’re proactive, organised, curious, humble and empathetic, and you can multi-task across multiple workstreams
You’re passionate about inclusive, accessible and ethical design
You're passionate about evangelising design within the business and externally (e.g. events, conferences, articles)
You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where you communicate daily with world-class talent from our global teams
You are positive and committed with a 'can-do' attitude and a flexible approach
You are a self-starter: you thrive on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight
You have great communication skills, both verbal and written
You are deeply passionate about Bumble’s brand vision and values
