OCS is looking for an experienced Platform Management professional to be part of olympics.com, the official digital platform of the IOC, offering sports fans unique content from one of the world’s most respected sports brands.

The key driver for the Senior Platform Manager role is to provide content management platform services to ensure that content and digital UX are merged in one “inseparable bundle” and distributed across the various platforms (desktop, mobile web, mobile app. and the connected TV devices) for consumption by global Olympic Fans.

This position requires interaction and alignment with different stakeholders, jointly elaborating the concepts and assuring needs are properly integrated within the platform. The role is responsible for defining and owning the platform’s content management roadmap to meet new growth initiatives that maximize audience and retention. Key to the role is understanding the content needs and translating these to requirements for the Product and TechOps teams. In addition, to work on best practices for backend content management linked to frontend content curation, localization efforts and always under the scope of improving the overall digital UX. The Senior Platform Manager will also be acting as a main stakeholder of product release planning cycles to achieve content and d-UX readiness of any product development.

The position is part of the Content Operations and Programming department which collaborates with Editorial, Product, TechOps, Data and Marketing as well as external partners and brands.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning of the future Platform Management evolution.
  • Develop and drive editorial curation strategies, content and direction for online properties, landing pages or websites. Maintain high-level view of overall storytelling across platform.
  • Deliver web experiences that result in significant and measurable improvements in increasing viewership and content impression.
  • Working together with the Editorial and Product Teams on best practices for the presentation and curation of content.
  • Gathering content backend and frontend needs and translating these to product requirements.
  • Contribute to delivering ongoing business objectives and define functional requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • Managing QA test plans and assist with UAT to ensure quality.
  • Solve complex business and functional problems for fans on digital platforms.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Editorial team for platform management and UX/UI work.
  • Heavily involved in the UX design process, collaborate on team decisions and keep projects moving to successful launch.
  • Documenting new CMS features and following their life cycle, from conception to production.
  • Close follow up during implementation stage to ensure correct delivery liaising with product teams & development factory.
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years in content platform management in digital media background.
  • Prior experience being the platform management lead during launch of web platform/digital products.
  • Experience working with CMS and CRM.
  • Experience with web analytics and personalization tools; knowledge of web analytics.
  • Familiar with Agile Product Methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and what drives fan interest.
  • Knowledge of AB testing.
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify areas of improvement with little direction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment with firm deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills; ability to present ideas effectively and influence cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to learn quickly and develop points of view in a constantly changing business space. You are an active listener, see value in other opinions and collaborate well.
