Cities of the world are changing the way we move within them. People, as well as companies, are responsible for reducing pollution, increasing the accessibility and improve the use of public spaces.
At BotOn, we offer mobility solutions for companies that want to optimize their mobility performance.
We’re currently growing, hiring new talent. We need help, and we want to hire a Senior Fullstack Developer to join our team.
Who you are
Superstar? Pass. Friendly and thoughtful? Let’s talk.
We are looking for Managers of One: people that come up with their own goals and work on them. They don’t need constant check-ins. They do what a manager would do — set the tone, assign items, know what needs to get done, etc.
Full-stack nowadays could mean anything. And you know it. What we mean by full-stack is a person that’s not scared of writing excellent APIs while fixing small CSS bugs for making a button perfect. An all-terrain person.
If you consider yourself a learner, a thoughtful, kind, supportive person, you might fit in here.
We do think -as a lot of other tech companies- that diversity is essential for making great software, and that it has a more profound value beyond money. That’s the reason why we are working on building the most diverse we can (gender, age, race, people with functional diversity, etc.), people with different backgrounds, experiences, and capabilities.
We believe that better products are built when the team is genuinely inclusive. The more diverse we are as a team, the more impact we have as a company.
What it’s like to work here
We’ve an office in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain but we work from home (or whatever you want) 99% of the time. We will give you the tools and resources to make a healthy environment where you can focus on doing your work.
We work with geodata, so you will be building APIs and working with data points that will allow our clients to know more about their surroundings, connecting routes, trips and more.
We have to work with big data sets -automobile telemetrics- that will allow you to grow your inner scientist as well as to improve your code functions and methods because querying a table of 60GBs is becoming “slow”.
We encourage everyone to have their own voice. None of us are right all the time, and we need to hear when we are wrong.
Here’s what we offer
- Salary based on your skills and experience.
- Full-time job.
- Remote-friendly.
What skills do you need
For this job we are looking for a Python developer, with frontend coding. Our frontend code is built using VueJS, but if you work with ReactJS we will welcome you as well (recently VueJS even works with JSX).
We also use PostgreSQL with PostGIS, so you will be building APIs that will be GIS aware. Any background on this field will be awesome, but please, don’t be afraid of contacting us if you have not experience with it.
In summary, we are looking for a balance between your backend and frontend skills with some knowledge on GIS. A 50-50 will be perfect, but as you know that will be unrealistic. Hence, send us your CV if you think you fit somehow with us. We would love to meet you.
