What we are looking for:
The International Expansion Program’s purpose is to manage and scale Gartner Digital Market’s three brand’s international websites. Our single platform supports multiple frontends localized to the needs of our visitor’s local market, as it has been proven that software searchers (especially SMEs) prefer to conduct their research, evaluation and selection process in their native language and see information/experiences that are catered to their specific needs. Your role will be in the center of how to expand, improve and scale the frontend architecture of our platform.
This position works closely with our designers and engineers to build a compelling product and implement exciting new features - all with the goal of ensuring a great experience for website users.
Why you will want to come to the office everyday:
Your primary responsibility will be to implement and evolve the UI vision of the UX team, with whom you will collaborate closely, and to develop a framework in which we can evolve and improve our multi brand project.
Responsible for the timely development of well-defined, larger product features/changes, expected to use judgement & apply functional knowledge of methodology/best practices; Develop code documentation as a reference.
Become an active participant in the technical design process, expected to contribute own ideas for changes/new features; Capable of owning independent medium-to-big features all the way through from technical design to launch.
Improve operations by conducting performance analysis (lighthouse, CrUX report, etc); recommending changes in policies and procedures.
Challenging projects: Elixir/Phoenix infrastructure, denormalized data model to support multiple catalogs and translations in the same platform, one LiveView page and willing to expand its usage, Elasticsearch based search engine, business analytics, front end applications and many other projects.
Modern technologies: Elixir is our language of choice, but we love exploring and using the best tools for the job. We actively use Docker and Kubernetes to power our infrastructure.
What you will bring to the team:
5+ years’ experience developing server side rendered frontends.
A passion for technology and development, a hunger to learn, a desire to meet challenges, a commitment to applying engineering best practice to produce top quality solutions.
Experience in some of the following frontend technologies: Bootstrap 4/5, TailwindCSS, StimulusJs, JQuery, Webpack.
Knowledge of templating engines in some of the following languages: Elixir, Ruby, PHP.
Understanding of software design concepts, patterns, tools, best practices.
Verbal English skills (we work in English!).
