Job Description

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges️. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 160 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily .

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all .

Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here)

Senior Content Designer (Ads) - Hybrid

 About the role

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Content Designer to join our award-winning CX team and help shape the future of advertising at Skyscanner. You’ll be working on a suite of advertising products that power how brands connect with over 100 million travellers each month. This includes Skyscanner’s Advertising Manager, our internal partner-facing platform, as well as the traveller-facing ad experiences across web and app.

You’ll move between crafting UI-content, shaping high-quality outputs in complex flows and defining the underlying systems that generate them, from prompts and schemas to evaluation and optimisation loops. Shaping the content strategy across an evolving ads ecosystem.

You’ll play a key role in shaping AI-native content systems, including how content is structured (taxonomies, schemas), generated (prompts, retrieval), and improved (evaluation systems, feedback loops). You’ll help move us from manual content creation to systems that scale quality and performance.

What you'll be doing

  • Crafting clear, effective UX content for complex B2B tools used by advertisers, marketers, and internal teams

  • Design and scale content systems that support reusable, modular ad content across different contexts and audiences

  • Define content structures, taxonomies, and modular frameworks that enable scalable, reusable content

  • Shaping how advertising content is created, structured, and delivered across both backend systems and frontend experiences

  • Shaping end-to-end content pipelines (generation → validation → delivery → optimisation)

  • Collaborating closely with Product Designers, Researchers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Commercial teams to solve complex problems

  • Balancing traveller needs with advertiser and business goals, ensuring content is useful, relevant, and trustworthy

  • Contributing to experimentation, defining content hypotheses, supporting A/B tests, and using data to iterate

  • Bringing clarity to complex workflows, data-heavy interfaces, and technical systems through strong content thinking

  • Contributing to evolving our content design systems, patterns, and standards — especially in areas with repeated or scalable patterns

  • Evolving content design systems, patterns, and standards for AI-native environments

About you

  • Experienced in content design:  As a Content Designer, UX Writer or Conversation Designer in a digital product environment.
  • A systems thinker: You naturally think beyond screens and flows, considering inputs, outputs, rules, and feedback loops — not just the final sentence on the page.
  • Comfortable with structured content: You’ve designed or worked with modular content systems, reusable patterns, or structured content models that support scale.
  • Experience with AI-powered experiences: You’ve had exposure to AI-generated content systems, prompts, or pipelines.
  • Confident across different audiences: You can move between specialist B2B tools and consumer-facing experiences, understanding what each audience needs and why.
  • Strategic and data-informed: You connect content decisions to user outcomes and business performance, using research, experimentation, and data to guide your thinking.
  • Collaborative and clear: You’re great at working across disciplines, explaining complex ideas simply, and influencing others with sound rationale rather than volume.
