As a Scrum Master
you will coach cross-functional teams to become fast, continuously
improving Scrum Teams. You will help leading Agile oriented development
efforts serving the engineering and product team in order to deliver
value to our customers and maximize the team's productivity. You will be
reporting directly to the Engineering Director.
About the role:
Coach and lead the team in practicing Agile principles, identify team training opportunities and engage necessary resources to facilitate.
Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog to ensure it is properly prioritized and appropriately sized.
Facilitate all of the Scrum ceremonies (backlog grooming, planning meetings, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos).
Track and communicate agile metrics (such as team velocity and sprint progress/burn down chart) to team, management and any impacted stakeholders.
Identify, remove and/or escalate risks, roadblocks, and cross team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the teams ability to deliver commitments.
Accountable for promoting continuous improvement by coaching the team to use metrics to identify and measure progress.
Coach and mentor others in developing Scrum Master best practices.
Continuously learns new approaches to facilitation, agile best practices and how to improve team dynamics.
Help the Team to focus on delivery of high quality stories on a predictable, sustainable cadence.
Bring high energy, motivation, and focus to the team
Experience: Previous scrum master experience.
Deep understanding of agile product development processes and principles
Scrum Master training or certification
Ability to implement Scrum theory, rules and practices
Experience working in Agile development process and deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
A facilitator and problem solver with conflict resolution skills
University degree in computer science, digital media, software engineering, Marketing, Design or similar.
Experience with Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence
Advanced Scrum Master or other agile certification like: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Agile Scrum Master (ASM), Scrum Master Certified (SCM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master Certification.
Experience with other agile methodologies such as LEAN, Kanban, XP Programming would be a plus
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Creative with strong communications skills
Excellent analytical skills
Methodological thinking, able to structure and organize tasks
Spanish professional knowledge
Any other language would be a plus
