Ecosia,
is a pioneering social business and one of the first B-Corps in Europe.
As part of our vision to cultivate a more compassionate and
environmentally, socially and economically sustainable world, we want to
plant a billion native trees by 2020. So far our 7 million users have
planted over 20 million trees with their 40 million weekly searches.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing smart search experiences while working closely with a cross-functional team
- Defining the visual style across Ecosia’s products
- Designing and maintaining coherent, living design systems and owning Ecosia’s Style Kit
- Confidently presenting your ideas, designs and decisions – and then guiding them to realization
- Facilitating
a collaborative process with key stakeholders including product
managers, developers, designers, and BI specialists, among others, while
iterating on and building new features
- Applying UX crafts like
sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, information architecture and
interaction design to help shape a product our users love
- Always striving towards a better understanding of the user perspective via qualitative and quantitative research
Requirements
- Heart that is beating for our users and our cause
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in fast-paced environments (e.g. startups or cutting-edge digital agencies)
- Demonstrated experience in working with the tools you need to get the job done - Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator are what we use
- Strong understanding of latest guidelines and patterns in web and app design
- Fluent spoken and written English (German not required)
- Bonus: Experience creating illustrations and animations
