Peaks is looking for a Software Test Engineer
Hi,
I am Sijbrand, and I’m the co-founder of Peaks: an innovative,
interactive app, that makes investing a possibility for everyone. We
make investing not only accessible, but sustainable as well. And we’re
not just a startup: one of the largest banks in The Netherlands funded
us. Our company already has over forty employees. We have the ambition
to conquer not only the Dutch market, but also the rest of Europe.
This
summer our app will go live, and we’re expecting to attract a lot of
customers. To keep our customers satisfied, we want to make sure our app
works perfectly and is always up-to-date. That is where you come in: a
Junior Software Test Engineer with an eye for detail and a passion for
delivering polished and high quality products.
What are you going to do?
You
will work close with the rest of our development team to champion and
guard software quality. It is important that you are comfortable and
confident in giving your opinion to your fellow colleagues as you will
provide feedback to the team about the software quality. During your
work, you will define and report on quality metrics. In addition you
will design and execute test plans and execute as well further test
automation. You’re amazing in owning and prioritising defects.
Requirements
We most probably like you a lot if you:
- Have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Have a good understanding of the software testing life-cycle
- Are experienced with a scripting or programming language
- Know how to work with Scrum/ Kanban/Agile
- Have up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing developments
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Are not afraid to work under pressure and know how to meet deadlines
- Have strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Are a real go-getter
We see it as a big bonus if you also:
- 0-1 year of work experience
- Have knowledge of TMap, ISEB, ISTQB certification
- Have hands-on experience with mobile testing
- Stay for beers and bitterballen at friday afternoon
