A company leading the IoT market within industrial and traffic applications is looking for a motivated and agile firmware engineer. The candidate will join Worldsensing’s dynamic Engineering Department, in particular the Firmware Team. It is a great opportunity to grow from some basic C knowledge to a highly skilled firmware engineer. The Firmware Team enjoys cutting edge knowledge and working methodologies which guarantee a quick knowledge transfer and exponential growth of the candidate.

Responsibilities

• analysis, design and implementation of low power firmware applications

Skills

Must

• good level in C

• knowledge of at least one scripting language (bash, python, etc.)

• willing to do analysis design and implementation

• speak/read/write technical English

• be proactive and willing to work within a team and grow

Should

• pay special attention to code maintainability

• know about version Control Systems (git, svn, etc.)

• knowledge of Linux

Could

• be able to understand schematics and other hardware artifacts

• know about the Scrum organization method

• unit testing / continuous integration / log / profiling / etc.

• knowledge of one RTOS

In addition to the above, we are looking for a teamplayer. This is an essential requirement as we always work in teams, within Engineering, but also with Product Management and other departments. We expect everyone in the company to be comfortable working together with others and to recognise the work of the rest of the team.

This is a permanent, full-time position in our Barcelona office.
