Job Description

The IT project manager, you manage cross-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and guide projects through the entire project lifetime. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. The challenge is to manage different types of projects within a small, but growing team. We have industrial clients, academic research partners and internal R&D projects with different scopes and requirements. You will organize the multiple projects in an agile/scrum manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES 


- Gather requirements from internal clients.
- Work together with R&D stakeholders in gathering customer requirements.
- Manage technical projects or programs, working closely with engineers and technical staff to develop and track release milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together.
- Develop a plan and schedule with well-defined milestones.
- Manage communication of progress/status within the core team and external to the team (customers, partners, etc.); escalate issues as necessary.
- Assess the quality of releases through monitoring of incoming bugs and code changes to identify quality issues and trends.
- Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


- 7+ years of experience in software development with an industry experience for 5+ years
- Experience managing teams of 15 or more people
- Mastery of agile/scrum methodologies
- Experience with the health information technology
- Experience with leading R&D is a plus
- Solid knowledge of cloud computing and SaaS architecture
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and oversee multiple projects in parallel
- Ability to manage cross-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
