Frontend Software Engineer in Barcelona

About the role

As a Verse Frontend Engineer you will create delightful web experiences for millions of users around the world. You’ll own the front-end development for one or more projects and tackle tough design and product problems alongside other world-class engineers. Our front-end team uses the latest web technologies and we’ll need your expertise to keep us at the cutting-edge by rapidly developing, fast, and secure experiences for our users.

What you’ll be doing

• Build a world class user experience
• Engineer efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
• Write modular, scalable, testable JavaScript, HTML and CSS for Verse
• Tackle tough design and product problems
• Work cross-functionally with design and engineering to polish the user experience
• You'll be an exponent of development methodologies and apply them enthusiastically
• Look for ways to make Verse better

Skills that we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of relevant full time experience
• Experience with Node.js, React and Redux
• Experience with Python, Docker
• Great engineering skills and strong CS fundamentals
• Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment
• Good teamwork and interpersonal communication skills (written and oral communication)
• Able to work effectively under schedule pressure to fix defects, review code, design, write, test new code, and diagnose production issues
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
