Job Description

We are GuestReady – a globally leading short-term rental management company, which provides professional services to property investors, homeowners and Airbnb hosts in London, Paris, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Lisbon, Porto and Dubai. Our mission is to leverage new technologies to unlock the full potential of real estate worldwide. Our short-let services include everything from listing creation to guest communications, housekeeping, key management and price optimisation. We raised a Seed Round of US $3M in October 2017 and a Series A Round of US $6M in June 2019 led by Impulse VC (backed by Roman Abramovich).


Job description:
- Reporting into the Global Head of Finance
- Establish and lead a new Finance Operations function for GuestReady, which will continually develop and improve, keeping pace with business changes and market methodology
- Define and expand the scope of the team
- Manage and drive the successful bedding down of processes
- Pro-actively investigate and resolve data anomalies/exceptions between finance and source systems
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening of internal controls and advances to process maturity
- Ensure the accuracy of outbound data feeds through application of appropriate controls
- Validate cash inflows and outflows
- Manage debt recovery/write-off process and work with stakeholders
- Ensure that all vendors (e.g. owners and property managers) are paid on time and within the bounds of agreed processes and SLAs
- Monitor qualitative financial information and escalate
- Management of two - three team members
- Be a key part of the product design process for new initiatives, liaising with the Group finance team to ensuring controls are in place and operating appropriately
- Ensuring that all workflows are documented and updated on a regular basis, making certain robust processes and methodology are adhered to
- Participate in month-end financial processes and reporting

Requirements:
- Experience in Finance Operations and Controls
- Strong academic background – Bachelor’s Degree or above (2:1 or above)
- Excellent knowledge of financial processes and impact on financial statements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a managerial role
- Previous experience working with payment processors such as MangoPay, Stripe, GoCardless
- Ability to work collaboratively across various internal functions.
- High attention to detail and a dedication to data integrity
- Multitasker, organised and able to manage time efficiently and balance many conflicting tasks
- Professional, “get it done” attitude and work ethic
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial information and assessing new business situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good to have:
ACA/ACCA qualified accountant would be a
- Relevant experience in a start-up environment or property/real estate/hospitality industry a bonus
- Professional proficiency in Portuguese or French also a bonus
