The Email Marketing Specialist is a full-time position responsible for implementing lifecycle marketing programs and other email communications for a network of global wedding marketplaces. The role is part of the US-based global email team and reports to the Director, Global Email Marketing (US-based). This person will work in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to set up email journeys, automated messages, and promotional campaigns for engaged couples and wedding vendors. This person will coordinate closely with the Barcelona-based marketing team.


  • Perform day-to-day email marketing tasks including building email messages, scheduling, testing, and reporting

  • Implement lifecycle messaging based on established program

  • Execute promotional campaigns, manual sends and weekly messaging under direction of local marketing stakeholder, following global best practices

  • Pull and analyze country-specific email reporting

  • Monitor performance to identify issues and opportunities and work with U.S. team to resolve

  • Track email efforts of country-specific competitors

  • Understand country-specific legal requirements and ensure messaging complies

  • Participate in lifecycle team meetings / functions with US-based team

  • Adhere to established global procedures

Marketing Skills

  • Two to four years of experience in email marketing including executing email for promotional campaigns

  • Understanding of brand marketing and how to apply to brand standards to messaging

  • Experience with list segmentation, journeys, email automation, and data management

  • Understanding of email analytics and the ability to evaluate and analyze large data sets

  • Understanding of A/B testing and structuring tests

  • Familiarity with GDPR and related local regulations and requirements

Technical Skills

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or another enterprise-level email service provider

  • Email production experience including using templates and building HTML/CSS

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues

  • Working knowledge of relational databases including how to join tables to build and segment audiences

  • Basic SQL skills for list segmentation and reporting

  • Experience writing AMPScript or a similar scripting language

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (or Google Spreadsheets) to analyze data

Other Requirements

  • Fluent in Spanish and English

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
