We strive to develop, launch, and support products that make it easy and reliable to get Affirm’s FinTech products into the right state for an engineer to ship their code with confidence. We provide language testing frameworks, testing practice and processes, data seeding, system simulation products, and everything else that makes it possible for engineers to test their code everywhere from their laptop to production smoke tests. Our approach is to offer self-service products that enforce best practices and ensure engineers can uphold their responsibilities to deliver high quality products for backend, offline, front end, and infrastructure teams.
What You’ll Do
Partner with teams to evolve and enhance testing framework and tooling features, capabilities, and product ergonomics
Deliver on the vision, strategy and roadmap for a modern, simple and friendly testing products, tooling and automation for developers at Affirm
Provide leadership and oversight over 3 to 4 engineering teams in the US and and EU
Stay on top of industry trends for test automation and processes and cross-pollinate those ideas and processes with Affirm’s.
Cultivate an environment of technical excellence, humility, and continual improvement to form a team that can successfully take on complex challenges across multiple technical domains
Expand the engineering organization by attracting, hiring, and retaining a diverse and exceptional group of engineers and foster inclusivity and belonging
Be an integral part of Affirm’s Engineering leadership, helping evolve and mature all engineering at Affirm
What We Look For
Prior work building and operating cloud SaaS products with a focus on scale and site reliability
Leadership experience at a division or whole company scope
Passion for providing an extraordinary experience for customers
Expertise in building and managing test automation frameworks and teams.
In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies and tools, including Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, BDD frameworks, and API testing
Hard-won wisdom gained in the school of hard knocks uplifting the quality assurance abilities of multiple companies

Pay Grade - ESP33
Employees new to Affirm or promoted into a new role, typically begin in the min to mid range.
ESP base pay range per year:
Min: €114,800
Mid: €143,500
Max: €172,00
We are able to offer visa sponsorship for this role, but do require that someone is based in Spain for the role.
