NStack is reinventing the way we do data-processing from the ground
up, using a cutting-edge approach around microservices, containers, and
functional programming paradigms. We’re looking for an amazing “Data
Scientist in Residence” to join our highly technical team of system
engineers to help us build applications on our platform.
Your role would be to:
- Build powerful reusable data-science modules on NStack by
implementing common patterns in predictive, statistical, spatial
analytics, and machine learning, which can be wired up by end-users to
build sophisticated workflows
- Be an integral part of the product team as a user-advocate for data scientists and their needs
- Work with our community of customers and users to understand their
pain-points and help them architect solutions on the platform
- Ownership on the marketing side to write quality content such in
blog-posts, documentation, and walkthroughs around data science
Ideally you’d have experience working as a data-scientist in a team,
using Python, R, or MATLAB. Knowledge of functional programming, plus
experience with Spark/Storm/Hadoop alongside an understanding of cloud
infrastructure would be a huge bonus. You should also be excited by the
prospect of working with customers and users, building on the platform,
and helping us grow an active community.
This would be a perfect role for someone with a background in data
science who also loves being involved with users. You’d be working
closely with the founders and be exposed to marketing, sales, as well as
being an integral part of a top-tier engineering team on the cutting
edge of technology.
