Job Description

We are looking for a CRM Data Specialist to join our zooplus team in Madrid. You will join the Central Direct Marketing Team consisting of 6 people and will be responsible for the Europe-wide Direct Marketing analysis activities (email marketing, print campaigns, push notification campaigns).   

In this role, you will support the team and the local managers on data aggregation, data analysis, visualization and customer targeting. To be successful in this role, you should have solid experience with Analytical Systems.   

Your Responsibilities  

  • Work closely with all CRM/Direct Marketing, IT, Data Science, and BI teams to structure and analyze CRM data, identify high value actions or customer pain points, and translate findings into actionable insights for business teams

  • Develop data visualizations, dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analysis to provide recommendations to Senior Management, CRM/Direct Marketing, and other business teams on the development of the key metrics that drive Customer Lifetime Value.  

  • Provide complex customer selections as campaign-support for the CRM/Direct Marketing team to enable targeted customer communication across all channels (e-mail, print, mobile push notifications, and more).

  • Support the ongoing development of the Data Access Layer (DAL) and onboarding of relevant data sets for Distribution; transform, validate, and model data with the purpose of understanding and drawing conclusions

  • Drive various analytical projects in close collaboration with your stakeholders. Continuously explore opportunities to improve the CRM system and enhance the end-user experience; proactively gather user feedback and requirements.

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant technical or analytical field, minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

  • Strong SQL knowledge (ideally ANSI SQL and/or experience with Oracle and Presto specific syntax) and good knowledge of statistical methods  

  • Experience with data-lakes and managing structured/unstructured datasets, ideally in Athena/Presto/Oracle. Knowledge of lean ETL processes to eject data from data marts and load it into external systems on a scheduled basis.  

  • Strong interest and good understanding of eCommerce data and CRM/Customer data for Direct Marketing execution, ideally with experience in the retail industry.

  • Experience with creating visualizations and reports in Tableau or similar data-visualization tools  

  • Analytical mindset and enthusiasm for understanding our customers, coupled with a passion for numbers and large amounts of data to help implement strategic actions to optimize the Customer Experience and increase Customer Lifetime Value

  • High attention to detail, independent working style, and very good English communication skills.
