The Position
ViaBill is seeking a Country Manager for Spain, based in Madrid.
You are with the grit and persistence to help us enter into this new
market. You’ll be the very first one on the ground to prepare our
launch, build the Spanish team and will be joining at an essential and
strategic time for ViaBill. Under the supervision of Chief Commercial
Officer Europe, the Country Manager Spain will have to hire and manage a
Sales team, to negotiate with C-level contact at merchants, set the
company culture and lead the P&L for our Spanish market.
You have great communication skills and function well individually as
well as a member of a team. Failure and rejection don’t scare you, as
you’ve had experience from this before. You know that’s the name of the
game.
The position requires working in a dynamic and exceptionally
fast-growing environment. You will be responsible for preparing the
go-to-market strategy and identifying the required steps prior the
launch of our Polish product. You’re an expert in the Polish market and
have an outstanding knowledge of the e-commerce market qualifying and
booking meetings and will quickly grow into a role where you take your
own meetings and eventually close deals. You need to be comfortable
communicating with all levels in an organization and enjoy developing
long term relationships and partnerships.
Furthermore, this position is a full-time salary position with monthly
objectives that are critical to the overall success of ViaBill’s growth.
What You Will Do
- Define the go-to-market strategy for Spain
- Meet and discuss with all legal and regulation authorities to bring our service to life
- Hire a Sales team
- Be accountable for the Polish P&L
- Knowledge sharing with our existing Sales team in Copenhagen and in New York City
- Implement and monitor sales activity through Salesforce
- Adapt global marketing strategy to your market
- Be in the spotlight in Spain to attend fairs, do keynotes and execute PR needs
- Meet and negotiate with top-tier e-commerces/merchants
- Look for opportunities to optimize and improve our sales process
- Bring feedback to our central teams in order to improve and adapt our product
What We Look For
- You’re a game-changer: persistent, competitive with high-energy, self-disciplined, organized and ambitious
- After
earning your outstanding degree/MBA at a top university, you have
gained work experience in a top-tier consulting firm and/or proven your
worth in startups
- You have successfully been commercially responsible for building a growth team
- You know what it means to launch products and building a team in a new market
- You
understand, that being commercially responsible for growth is not
“just” selling, but handling all facets of growth - including sales,
building of organization, financial responsibility, culture, etc.
- You
have a significative experience as a manager - you’re positive,
empathetic, helpful but you know how to work under pressure, you care
about details and you always push your team limits to achieve big things
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills: Spanish (native level) and English (fluent level) are mandatory.
