Who you are
As our CTO, you'll drive the development and execution of our technology strategy to new heights.
In this pivotal role, you will be reporting directly to both Co-Founders (CEO & COO/CPO) and be a critical member of the executive team. You will be responsible for leading, managing and inspiring the Engineering team.
Your expertise and vision will play a key role in shaping the future of our company, bringing cutting-edge technology to the forefront of our business and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
What you will do
- Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. This includes overseeing the development of new products and features, ensuring that they are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure they have the resources and tools necessary to succeed. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key industry players to stay ahead of the curve and drive new business opportunities.
- Manage the development process from ideation to release, ensuring that products and features are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high quality standards. This includes working closely with the Product team to develop product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into the development process.
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure systems that can support the company's rapid growth. Ensure that systems are optimized for performance and maintainability, and that they adhere to industry best practices and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and identify opportunities to leverage new tools and platforms to improve the company's technology infrastructure and processes.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development and technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams and delivering complex products and features on time and within budget.
- Ideally, you'll be based in Barcelona. We are also open to cover relocation costs.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ideally within the live entertainment industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, as well as experience with agile development processes.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of technology professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with microservices architectures and modern web development frameworks and technologies.
- A passion for technology and innovation, with a track record of staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies
- Fluent in English (+ other european languages will be a plus) with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. -A humble attitude and a good sense of humour are a must ;)
