We are looking for an engineering manager to develop and improve our backend code that is composed of several services and APIs to build the e-commerce, as well as to do video streaming and video encoding.

As backend engineering manager
What you will do:
Lead and cultivate a team of backend engineers with a diverse skill-set, including performance management and career development.
Interact with other managers, team leaders, peers from other departments, and external partners.
Lead your team’s roadmap by defining inspiring objectives and breaking them down into well-defined key results.
Identify the highest impact initiatives and ensure that the team is focused on delivering those on clear timelines.
Follow established processes and policies for finding solutions, and suggest policy adjustments or set up new procedures if needed.
Execute planning and own the team's deliverables. Partner with product, QA and other technical teams in test strategy, integration testing, release planning and coordination.
Ensuring design and development of software are done according to best practices.
Engage in business planning and finances.
Who You Are:
You have managed a team of software engineers.
You have backend programming experience (e.g. Ruby, python, etc.) and have architected, built, and operated systems to solve problems at certain scale.
