AI Lab - Project Leader in Barcelona or Remote

The Role

We are looking for a Project Lead with an entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of this AI line product strategy and execution. This is not just a product role — it’s an opportunity to help shape the company from the ground up with a new external Consumer AI Product.

You will lead the development of our product, dedicated team, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders. Over time, you’ll build and scale the team around you, defining the roadmap and driving the evolution of the product into a full-scale ecosystem and marketplace.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is excited to build from 0→1, and wants to make a tangible impact in one of the fastest-moving industries in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Product development – take product from concept to market launch with a small, agile team backed and supported by a large group organisation.
• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligned with business goals of rapid adoption and profitability.
• Collaborate with engineering to design a modular, scalable architecture for integrating multiple AI models and APIs.
• Build strong relationships with early users to validate assumptions and drive user-centric product decisions.
• Establish success metrics and use data-driven insights to iterate quickly.
• Over time, recruit, lead, and inspire a product team, growing the function as the company scales.
• Partner with leadership on go-to-market strategy, monetization strategies, user metrics, and growth loops.
• Act as a bridge between vision and execution, ensuring alignment across technical, business, and user needs.

Requirements

About You

• Entrepreneurial background – founder, early-stage startup experience, or track record of building products from scratch.
• Proven record of shipping AI products fast with quick iterations

• 5+ years of product management / product leadership experience in SaaS, AI, developer tools, or platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to take an AI product from idea to MVP launch and beyond.
• Strong technical fluency – comfortable working with engineers, APIs, and LLMs, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs.

• Proven experience working in small, cross-functional teams, wearing multiple hats, and moving fast.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-first approach.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and align stakeholders.
• A passion in A.I: Knowledge of the current trends in A.I Products, and where the industry is going from your insights.

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI/ML products, LLMs, or generative AI tools.
• Background in freemium SaaS or subscription business models.
• Exposure to platform ecosystems, SDKs, or marketplaces.
• Familiarity with content creation, productivity, or workflow tools.
