What is MusicList?

MusicList
is a music aggregation platform where users can discover and listen to
their favorite music. During 2018 we had 2 million unique visitors on
our website and 2019 is full of challenges. We are looking for a
Software Developer to join our team and help us take MusicList to the
next level.
Our stack uses PHP (Laravel), VueJS and jQuery for web
and React-Native for mobile. The main database is MySQL and we also have
others for special use cases. Our platform is built on top of Amazon
Web Services.
We're looking for:
- Experience working with PHP.
- Experience working with JS.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Source code management with Git.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
Bonus points:
- Laravel.
- Having worked with React or React-Native.
- Understanding SOLID principles and clean code.
- Experience with modern architectural patterns.
- Interest in DevOps culture.
- Having worked in a start-up environment.
About you:
- You are a team player the team can rely on.
- You love to learn new things and share them with others.
- You are keen to get feedback to improve.
- You focus on key priorities and pragmatic solutions.
- You are self-organised and can work autonomously.
What MusicList can offer you:
- Experience working and having an impact in a production environment with real users.
- Explore and decide your own career path. We provide many personal development opportunities.
- Work in an agile environment free of bureaucracy.
- Learn how a start-up grows.
- Flexible schedule.
- Working from home 1 day a week.
What you can expect when you apply:
- If your profile looks promising, we will do a 10
minutes phone call with our CTO. He will tell you about the project and
the challenges we are facing. You will be able to ask any question
related to the job and your position. During this process you can find
out if MusicList is what you are looking for.
-
Next, there will be a 30 to 40 minutes call with a
team member for a technical interview. In this interview we will talk
about your previous experience and knowledge. If we decide to proceed,
you will be asked to choose between:
- Doing a coding challenge. There isn’t a hard deadline for this, but we recommend that you dedicate between 1 and 2 hours.
- Telling us about a project you’re proud of.
- After you deliver the coding challenge or tell us
about the project, some team members will ask you questions about it. We
want to learn more about the way you work.
- If you reach this point, you’re almost in! The last step is just meeting the founders so that they get to know you.
We are looking forward to meeting you. Let us know if you are interested by sending an email to jobs@musiclist.com.
