Streaming Software Engineer en Barcelona

The candidate shall support the design and continual improvement of our internal tools to generate media optimized for video streaming.

We are looking for a proactive, resilient programmer with a problem solver attitude and a minimum of three years of experience in any of the following areas of expertise:

• Media Streaming:

- Knowledge of codecs, containers and formats of video/audio/subs: h264/h265/EC- 3/MP4/VP9/CMAF/IMF

- Encoding/packaging with open source tools: ffmpeg / bento, etc

- Streaming protocols: DASH, Smooth Streaming, HLS etc

• API Design: RoR, Sinatra

• Design of distributed and scalable systems

• Programming languages: Python / Ruby

• Working knowledge of English

• Knowledge of the following will be taken into account:

- DRM: fairplay, playready, modular widevine

- Web frameworks: Rails, Django

- Queue management: resque/rq

- Amazon AWS: S3, EC2, SWF, autoscaling

- Databases / search engines: mysql, redis, elasticsearch

- HDR formats: HDR10, Dolby Vision
