As an Algolia Solutions Engineer, you are the bridge between the
customer and the internal team and the happiness of every new and
existing customer is your top concern. You should be as comfortable
talking to customers as you are crafting high quality code.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain product expertise
- Explain complex technical concepts
- Educate prospects and customers (from developers & product managers to C-level executives) on Algolia best practices
- Develop demos/proofs-of-concept for prospects to demonstrate
various use cases for Algolia's APIs (data scrapping/crawling, engine
tweaking, Mobile UI/UX)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Algolia's sales, marketing and engineering teams
- Build relationships with prospects and customers to ensure they are getting the most out of Algolia
- Create technical content (blog posts, tutorials and others)
- Function as the voice of the customer and provide internal feedback on how Algolia can better serve our customers
REQUIREMENTS
- Hybrid background of people and technical skills
- 3+ years of programming experience in front-end and back-end development
- Web technologies such as JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, HTML5 or equivalent mobile dev. experience
- Practical knowledge of at least one scripting language (Ruby, JavaScript, Python or PHP)
- 2+ years professional experience in a client-facing technical role (as a developer, consultant, etc.)
- Strong desire to help people and improve the customer experience
- A history of building interesting projects (open source, personal
projects, blog posts, anything where you flexed your creative and
technical muscles)
- Full professional English proficiency
