Associate Software Engineer – Container Technologies
At SUSE we're building the next-generation container orchestration
platform based on Kubernetes, and are looking for asoftware engineer to
join us as part of the SUSE Container Technologies team.
You will be working primarily at the application level of our
platform, ensuring that our product and accompanying applications are
ready to use out of the box. Responsibilities also include ensuring that
further custom application deployments and other operational duties can
be achieved in just a few short commands or clicks. We leverage
open-source technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, and SaltStack among
others to achieve this goal. This is a great opportunity to build highly
available, micro-service based distributed systems utilizing some of
the latest cutting-edge container technologies.

free and open projects and initiatives. As a member of the SUSE
Container Technologies team you will have the opportunity to contribute
to Kubernetes, Helm, Moby and other open source projects. You are
encouraged to work together with the communities for these projects and
strive to continuously advance the state of the art to meet customer
requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- 2-3 years work experience with distributed systems
- Linux
- Experience with at least one of Go, Python, C/C++, Java.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Salt, Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
- Containers (Docker, Rkt and Cri-O)
- Ability to document and automate common tasks
