About the Senior Ethereum Engineer position
We are looking for a passionate and “experienced” Ethereum Engineer
who will join our team of talented engineers and help us build the best
mobile blockchain browser.
You should be an active member of the Ethereum developer community with contributions to open-source projects and discussions.
As our Ethereum “expert” you will be involved in several projects and
we are looking for someone with a “can do anything” mentality.
Senior Ethereum Engineer responsibilities are:
- Keep up-to-date with the evolution of the Ethereum protocol, the EVM, the node, Solidity, etc.
- Lead the development of our smart contracts
- Audit all Solidity code to detect bugs and security issues, and optimise existing smart contracts to reduce gas costs
- Collaborate closely with the backend team to design and build a robust infrastructure based on a pool of Ethereum nodes
- Share
your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the company to ensure
that each Argent member is at the forefront of the Ethereum technology.
Senior Ethereum Engineer requirements are:
- 5+ years experience building complex applications with 2+ year experience writing smart contracts
- You have experience in languages like Java, Javascript, Python, Go
- You know Solidity and Truffle like the back of your hand
- You have experience deploying and maintaining an Ethereum node
- You have read the Yellow Paper and you understand how the EVM works at a low level
- You are an active member of the Ethereum developer community and you contribute to open-source projects
- You like to get your hands dirty and you are never afraid to experiment with technology
- You have a strong knowledge of cryptography and security in general
- You pay attention to details and have a high standard for quality
- You are a team player with good communication skills and you love to share your knowledge
- You are fluent in written and spoken English
How we work ?
As a distributed team, we’re not too bothered by when and where you
work. That said, most of us work Monday to Friday from 9 UTC to 6 UTC,
and we’re looking for someone who’d overlap at least 4 hours within that
timeframe.
