We have a challenge for a best in class engineer/database architect
with an understanding of complex relational data and architectural
design, to improve or replace our existing search solution.
This is a short term project to step into our team and to take our
current search architecture and turn it into a world class solution that
will form the bedrock of our platform and be used by millions of our
users and clients into the future.

Work autonomously towards delivering the most effective solution
Self motivate and deliver a complete solution on time
Is comfortable collaborating with product and engineering teams
Skills and personality-wise we are looking for someone who:
Can demonstrate a deep understanding of open source search engine solutions (e.g. Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar).
Is open to try out new technologies and solutions, do research and make informed decisions
Wants to experiment with custom scoring algorithms that depend on multiple data types (including social graph)
Has experience in PHP (preferred).
Demonstrates impeccable communication skills and abilities to collaborate with major stakeholders throughout the project

loft coworking space called Protein Studios in Shoreditch, London.
