We are Emotech, a London-based robotics startup that aims to improve
the relationship between human and technology with our innovative,
AI-powered, personal robot named Olly.
Olly is an emotional companion and smart assistant that develops its
own personality based on its interaction with you, so that you can have a
more balanced, natural interaction with technology, while also using
smart scheduling and nuanced contextual notifications to motivate your
learning, creativity, productivity and wellbeing. Olly is also your
smart home hub to integrate and simplify the process the interaction
with ‘internet of things’ devices at home.
As the QA Engineer, you will be responsible for :
- Take ownership of the quality assurance.
- Getting the build system right and maintaining it. (Jenkins/TeamCity/ etc).
- Setting up device and a testing room to run through testing
scenarios with recorded audio and the device. This needs planning,
setting up and maintaining and metrics/reporting.
- Manual test, analysis of errors on production systems, bug replication, testing and approval of new functionalities.
- Produce and maintain test automation artifacts.
- Participate actively in an Agile environment.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years QA experience in an Agile development organisation
- Test and Testing frameworks running in Python, C++ and Java.
- Experience with design and execution of test plans
- Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Confident with operating system Linux
- Experience working in TDD or BDD based environments (preferred)
- Ability and willingness to conduct manual tests
- Hands-on
- Have to be open to accepting a difficult challenge and propose the best solutions
