JOB SUMMARY:

The Python Software Test Engineer is responsible for assuring the product quality, following the Python best practices/standards, creating CI/CD pipelines, and unit testing and reviews. Also is involved in the design of performance, stress, and QA tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with the Integrations Software Engineers and Product Managers.
  • Define/Develop unit test cases guidelines.
  • Define/Execute/Automatize test plans and test cases.
  • Design and build performance and QA testing tools.
  • Build/Maintain/Monitoring of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Bring new ideas to the team, analyze testing tools and methodologies to improve existing tools and processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience with Python.
  • 2+ years of experience in testing/Quality Assurance.
  • 2+ years of experience in code review tasks.
  • Deep knowledge of Python Multiprocessing/Multithreading libraries.
  • Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (PyTests, Unittest, Nose, Behave, ...).
  • Knowledge of SonarQube and GitLab CI/CD (or Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of GIT.
  • An understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Technical, analytical, organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Professional competence: Spanish + English.
  • Familiar with Agile development environments.

DESIRED:
  • Experience in ETL and logging ingestion.
  • Knowledge of Linux shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments (AWS preferred).
  • Knowledge of performance tests and tools (JMeter, LoadNinja, etc).
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity/SecOps.
