We are seeking an eager,
self-starter that is excited to be a key member of our founding team in
Barcelona, with the opportunity to build, from the ground up, our
engineering hub. You will oversee the traditional aspects of office
management as well as the events and programs that drive Chartboost’s
culture. You should be a person with strong organizational skills who is
proactive, and who can anticipate and address the needs of our
ever-changing organization. You are original, creative, and
independent, and you have a great aptitude for identifying an
organization’s best options for facilities, events, venues, and more in
an effort to help build on our unique culture and continue making our
company a great place to work. You will work with executive management,
and you are confident and willing to support and own your decisions
about what is best for our company.
Who we are:
Chartboost is a successful startup,
based in San Francisco, that employs over 100 people worldwide. We’ve
raised $21M from Sequoia Capital and other investors and are thrilled to
be expanding our team, opening an engineering office in Barcelona. We
currently have a team of 2 engineers in Barcelona and plan to grow to 10
people in the next 6 to 12 months.
Our vision is to empower developers
to build a successful business, providing them with great monetization
tools while delivering exceptional value at scale for advertisers. We
currently work with over 300,000 apps around the world and reach an
audience of over 900M unique users every month.
What you’ll do:
- Be a culture leader for the organization, constantly promoting company values and setting a great example for our employees
- Own and
manage relationships with our outside facilities vendors, including
cleaning, maintenance, catering, general contractors and trades,
building services, and security services
- Order and stock snacks, drinks, and lunches
- Keep the kitchen, workfloor neat, clean and stocked anticipating needs in advance
- Ensure
that our office is presentable at all times of the year, and with an eye
for detail; e.g., that all clocks are set to the right time, all
whiteboards are cleaned daily and conference rooms are stocked with dry
erase markers and erasers, the dishwasher is loaded and unloaded, and
that there is not any ancillary trash misplaced throughout the office,
including the kitchen
- Track office supplies, computer hardware and SWAG
- Distribute and manage deliveries, mail and shipments
- Assist employees with desk moves and workstation adjustments
- Coordinate internal activities (lunches, meetings, happy hours, celebrations etc.)
- Pick up items as needed from local vendors for happy hours, meetings and other office needs (presentations etc.)
- Oversee
building security, with security guards, badge system, and building
access to ensure the facility is accessible to all customers, employees,
and visitors while maintaining a safe environment
- Availability
and commitment after hours or pre-hours for moves, special events, and
any other activities that require company supervisions
- Develop
and assist with the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure
an efficient and safe operation of the office environment
- Handle all aspects of move management, as well as internal space planning, allocation, and updating floor plans
- Coordinate
with IT frequently and on a number of issues, including office use
compliance, security, infrastructure, and other needs as required
- Partnering
with HR to maintain and update office policies ensure quality
experience pertaining to the employee’s experience from onboarding,
retention, and off-boarding
- Be a key
contributor in improving, maintaining, and being creative with company
perks such as events, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, etc.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Written and verbal fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan
- 3+ years in office management, supporting an organization of 10+ employees
- Highly adaptable, comfortable with change and ambiguity, capable of quickly rallying teams and resources around key issues
- Expert project management skills
- Must be customer service oriented: friendly, outgoing, positive, courteous, and a professional demeanor
- Ability to build strong working relationship with fellow employees, customers, and partners
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as a team environment
- You are very comfortable using and adapting to new technology
- Problem solver who can go into a meeting and walk away creating action items
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
